The Ethical Debate/ Refute Encouraged In Islam

In a fruitful debate we discover facts. And by debating we identify our weaknesses. By debating also, we strive to be humble and accept that knowledge of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is Subhan'Allah wide and great, beyond our understanding and comprehension. Once the questions on debating/refute in Islam has crossed our mind, it is our duty or rather responsibilities to find out, to discover proven facts (mentioned in Qur'an and Hadiths and supported by both) before claiming that it is not encouraged by putting our own fatwas in the matter.

The objective of debate, according to Al-Thahabi: "A debate is only justified to unveil truth, so that the more knowledgeable should impart knowledge to the less knowledgeable, and to stimulate a weaker intellect."[10]


 'A'isha radi Allahu anha reported Allah's Messenger sallallahu alaihi wassalam, as saying: The most despicable amongst persons in the eye of Allah is one who tries to fall into dispute with others (for nothing but only to display his knowledge and power of argumentation)-Sahih Muslim 2668 In-book reference  : Book 47, Hadith 6. From this Hadith, it is understood that, silence should be the paramount choice when we are debating with an ignorant. However, should we be in silence when we know the facts and we ignore it? The part of spreading dakwah is to speak the truth so as to not let people left misguided. [6]

But what if we don’t know what to debate on?

That’s when we stay quiet. Even the Companions of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wassalam would humbly say,"No, I don't know" rather than giving their opinions on Deen, which is one topic that they highly regarded and understood that they might not have a learned knowledge of (Al-Baihaqi). This is in fact, one of the noble characteristics of learned ulama'. By saying “I don’t know” is also consider as half of knowledge. 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ood radiAllahu anhu said, "Whoever has some knowledge then let him speak and whoever does not have knowledge with him, then let him say "Allah knows best" because Allah said to His Prophet: "Say, I do not ask you for any reward for this and I am not one to invent and add extra things". This was the manner of the pious predecessors, the Salafus-Saalih: the Companions, the Taabi'een and those who followed them upon their good until the Day of Resurrection. [1], [5]. When a person have asked you a question to be clarified, answer them to the best of your knowledge rather than putting them down.

Some claimed that debating is not encouraged in Islam. Imagine if we do not debate? When facts being falsified, and we do know for a fact that it is wrong, do we just keep quiet about it? We need to debate that they are wrong by presenting the rightful information before we intend to spread the truth. Are we saving on our ego by discouraging debate? Imagine a class where the teacher does not allow even for a Q&A session? 

Iblis's egotism was clear when he said that he was better than Adam alaihisalaam. Hasan al-Basri Rehhmatullah Alaih has said, "Iblis was the first one to deduce a conclusion through reasoning." Muhammad bin Sirin Rehhmatullah Alaih has said,"Iblis was the first one to reason and the sun and the moon were not worshipped except through reasoning."[7]

From Surah An-Nahl (16:125-126) stated that,"Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient." [8]

From the verses, Islam encourage us to debate/ refute with those of unclear understanding of what is the proven facts. Islam prohibited debating on the words of Allah ( Astaghfirullah!) as it has already mention in many verses of Qur'an, and to start with Surah Al-Baqarah (2:256), "There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing." Meaning that, words of Allah are the truth and so debating is for those who do not believe in His words. 'Abdullah b. 'Umar radiAllahu anhu reported:"I went to Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alaihi wassalam in the morning and he heard the voice of two persons who had an argumentation with each other about a verse. Allah's Messenger sallallahu alaihi wassalam came to us (and) the (signs) of anger could be seen on his face. He said: Verily, the (peoples) before you were ruined because of their disputation in the Book." - Sahih Muslim 2666 In-book reference  : Book 47, Hadith 2.[6],[8]

Do the Prophets ever debate?

It was narrated that 'Amr bin Dinar radiAllahu anhu heard Tawus say: "I heard Abu Hurairah radiAllahu anhu narrating that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wassalam said: 'Adam and Musa alaihisalam debated, and Musa said to him: "O Adam, you are our father but have deprived us and caused us to be expelled from Paradise because of your sin." Adam said to him: "O Musa, Allah chose you to speak with His own Hand. Are you blaming me for something which Allah decreed for me forty years before He created me?" Thus Adam won the argument with Musa.'" (Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah - Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 80)[6]

Subhan'Allah... Even Jannah and Jahannum debated. Abu Hurairah radiAllahu anhu narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wassalam) said:"Paradise and the Fire debated. Paradise said: “The weak and the poor shall enter me,' and the Fire said: 'The tyrants and the proud shall enter me.” So He said to the Fire: “You are My Punishment, I take vengeance through you from whom I will,” and He said to Paradise: “You are My Mercy I show mercy through you to whom I will.'” (Hasan)- Jami` at-Tirmidhi,Vol. 4, Book 12, Hadith 2561. [6]

When it is best to debate?

Of course and it is best when we are knowledgeable about the topics. Shaykh Kamal ad-Din Ibn az-Zamlakani, who debated with Ibn Taymiyyah rehhmatullah alaih on more than one occasion, said: "Whenever he was questioned on a particular field of knowledge, the one who witnessed and heard (the answer) concluded that he had no knowledge of any other field and that no one possessed such as his knowledge. The jurists of all groups, whenever they sat with him, they would benefit from him regarding their own schools of thought in areas they previously were unaware of. It is not known that he debated anyone whereby the discussion carne to a standstill or that whenever he spoke on about a particular field of knowledge - whether it be related to the sciences of the Shari'ah or else - that he would not then excel the specialists of that field and those who are affiliated to it." [3]

When not to debate?  

Abu Hurairah radiAllahu anhu narrated: "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wassalam came out to us while we were discussing about Al-Qadar. He became angry such that his face became red, as if a pomegranate was bursting through his cheeks. He said: 'Is this what I ordered you to do?' - or: 'Is this what I have been sent to you with? The people before you were only ruined when they differed about this matter. I order you [I order you] to not debate about it.". (Daif))- At-Tadmidhi,Vol. 4, Book 6, Hadith 2133.[6] 

We have to keep in mind that, the intention to debate is to uncover the truth so as to not misguide the people around us. It is best in our intention to not boast about our knowledge, but to humbly show or share with people what is right and what is not.

Allah knows best, and I may be wrong.

Ol' Buttermilk Sky-Subhan'Allah!

If these clouds could talk too...


I have always been fascinated with clouds. One of the many creations of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. It seems to me that these clouds is telling us their stories, for they've travelled with the wind, spreading calms and vibrant aura surrounds them.



I started off by taking pictures of amazing clouds that really captures my (and hopefully yours too In Shaa Allah) eyes. The best among the pictures combined and shared in this blog, though many more should follow. I studied and read about clouds in Qur'an later on. Its amazing to realize that no creations of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala escaped from being mentioned in the Holy Qur'an, Subhan'Allah!

Among the verses of the Holy Qur'an that mentioned about CLOUDS specifically as follows:-

"And Allah has sent down water from the cloud and therewith given life to the earth after its death; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who would listen."- Surah an-Nahl(16:65)

"He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture."-Surah an-Nahl (16:10)

"Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (Who) sends down rain from the cloud, then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know."- Surah al-Baqarah (2:22)

"Have they not seen that We drive the water [in clouds] to barren land and bring forth thereby crops from which their livestock eat and [they] themselves? Then do they not see?"-Surah As-Sajdah (32:27) 

Whenever I feel down, somewhat it calms me to stare at the clouds. And In Shaa Allah, whenever we get the chance to admire Allah's creations, lets not forget to recite much tasbih... Subhan'Allah!

1435 Deeds of Deen Calendar

Dear beloved families and friends,


Attached herewith, a Hijri calendar for us to keep track of our good deeds, In Shaa Allah (for us to keep track of each one of them, so not to miss it this year, hopefully the deed itself will not be exhaustive).

Alhamdulillah, the calendar are filled with reminders from selected hadiths, zikrullah, du'as, and important dates in Muslim's year. Also included, the significant meaning, events happened in each month, and brief description of the holy wars in the history.

Appreciate feedback (if there's any), should there be any mistake in the calendar or suggestions (much appreciated) for future references.

Hope it benefits everyone In Shaa Allah.

Permasalahan dan Wasiat Luqman-al Haqim melalui Surah Luqman

Antara kelebihan Surah Luqman ini adalah : Barangsiapa yang membaca Surah Luqman..nescaya ia akan terhindar dari segala-gala penyakit,, terutamanya dari penyakit-penyakit perut. Barangsiapa pula yang membaca ayat 31 dari Surah Luqman ini,, nescaya akan terselamat dari bencana banjir...


Wasiat turut memainkan peranan yang penting di dalam berdakwah. 'Bapa' memikul tugas yang amat berat untuk memelihara kebahagiaan keluarga yang terdiri dari isteri dan anak-anak. Kita telah dihidangkan oleh Al Quran bagaimana Luqman al-Hakim mendidik anaknya. Dan sebagaimana yang dimaklumi sebuah surah khusus di dalam Al Quran diberi nama dengan nama Surah Luqman.
Ramai di kalangan umat Islam tidak mengetahui bahawa 'wasiat' yang diberikan oleh Luqman kepada anaknya itu merupakan salah satu 'teknik' di dalam berdakwah.Sekiranya teknik ini diamati lalu dipraktikkan di dalam kehidupan seharian,nescaya anak-anak akan lahir sebagai muslim yang beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Allah s.w.t.. Bertuahlah sebuah keluarga yang mempunyai anak-anak seperti mereka. Mempunyai generasi yang diibaratkan umpama purnama yang menerangi kegelapan malam. Wahai ayah dan ibu,wasiatkan kepada anak-anakmu sepertimana wasiat yang diajar oleh Luqman al-Hakim!!!
Dr.Wahbah Az-Zuhaili telah berkata di dalam bukunya 'Tafsir Munir': "Al Baidhawi telah berkata bahawa nama Luqman sebenarnya ialah Luqman bin Ba'ura. Beliau bukannya nabi tetapi jumhur mengatakan bahawa beliau seorang yang bijaksana. Diberikan kepadanya Al Hikmah iaitu kelebihan pada akalnya,cerdik dan perkataan atau kalam yang dikeluarkannya memberi kesan kepada manusia. Nama sebenar anaknya ialah (mengikut As-Suhaili) An'am atau Asykam atau Matan atau Tharan"

Abd.Rahman Hassan Al Maidani berkata di dalam bukunya 'Fiqh Dakwah' bahawa di sana terdapat 14 jenis permasalahan yang dapat dipelajari melalui kisah Luqman mendidik anaknya melalui 'wasiat'. Oleh itu marilah sama-sama kita menilai wasiat tersebut yang mengandungi 14 permasalahan penting buat umat Islam selepas ini.

  2. Untuk memudahkan anda,sila rujuk terjemahan/tafsir Al Quran bagi ayat 13-19 Surah Luqman.
Permasalahan Pertama:
Perkara pertama yang diajar oleh Luqman kepada anaknya ialah jangan Syirik kepada Allah s.w.t.. Disebutkan di dalam wasiat ini, bahawa syirik kepada Allah s.w.t.adalah kezaliman yang amat besar. Mengapa? Kerana ia mengandungi syirik terhadap Rububiyatullah (Allah Yang Maha Berkuasa memelihara alam semesta )dan syirik terhadap Uluhiyatullah (Tidak ada tuhan yang disembah melainkan Allah). Atau dengan ertikata lain, mempersekutukan Allah s.w.t. dengan sesuatu lain yang juga mampu memelihara alam semesta dan mempersekutukan Allah s.w.t. dengan sesuatu yang lain yang juga layak untuk disembah. Inilah Syirik!!!

Meskipun syirik terhadap Uluhiyatullah lebih ringan dari syirik terhadap Rububiyatullah, akan tetapi Allah s.w.t. tidak akan mengampuni dosa orang Syirik sebesar-besar kezaliman. Zalim pula bererti meletakkan sesuatu bukan di tempat yang sepatutnya. Lagi sekali kita ingin mengajukan soalan.

Mengapa syirik dikatakan zalim? Telah disepakati, bahawa Allah s.w.t.lah yang menciptakan makhluk semesta alam. Allah s.w.t. jua yang menurunkan nikmat. Adakah layak kita samakan kekuasaan Allah s.w.t. ini dengan sesuatu kuasa yang lain? Jika ada di kalangan manusia yang menyamakan kekuasaan Allah s.w.t. dengan kuasa yang lain maka ia telah melakukan kezaliman!!!

Allah s.w.t. sahaja yang layak disembah dan diagungkan kerana apa yang dilakukan-Nya itu tak mampu dilakukan oleh kuasa lain. Tetapi jika kuasa lain yang diagungkan, maka inilah kezaliman. aitulah meletakkan sesuatu bukan di tempat yang sepatutnya. Inilah yang diperkatakan melalui ayat 13 surah Luqman yang bermaksud: "Wahai anakku! Janganlah engkau mempersekutukan Allah s.w.t.. Sesungguhnya mempersekutukan Allah s.w.t. itu adalah kezaliman yang amat besar."

Permasalahan Kedua:
Luqman mengajar anaknya supaya bersyukur kepada Allah s.w.t. di atas anugerah nikmat-Nya yang tak terhitung luas dan banyak. Dan kesyukuran mengandungi erti: Balasan perbuatan yang indah dan baik dengan perbuatan yang juga baik dan indah. Termasuk di dalam erti kata syukur ini ialah beribadah kepadaNya dengan melakukan ibadat-ibadat seperti yang disyariatkan, mendekatkan diri kepadaNya, menuntut keredhaan-Nya dan memuji-Nya serta menghadapkan diri dengan berdoa kepadaNya yang Maha Esa.

Memuji lebih umum dari bersyukur kerana hak mutlak kepujian itu diberikan ke atas yang dipuji pabila bersifat dengan sifat atau sifat-sifat yang baik. Hatta yang dipuji itu tidak melakukan sesuatu kebaikan terhadap pemuji. Dan peringatan 'kesyukuran' kepada Allah s.w.t. ini dikaitkan dengan pembalasan pada Hari Qiamat. Jika sekiranya kesyukuran itu kepada Allah s.w.t.,maka akan mendapat balasan pahala dan jika sebaliknya akan mendapat balasan siksaan di atas kekufuran dan keingkaran. Inilah yang diperkatakan melalui ayat 14 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:

Permasalahan Ketiga:
Luqman mendidik anaknya agar berterima kasih kepada ibubapa di atas susah payah dan jerit perih mereka membesarkan dan mendidik anak dengan segala macam pemberian dan kebaikan untuk anak tersayang. Tunaikan hak keduanya terutama kepada ibu. Kerana ibu bersusah payah menanggung penderitaan bermulanya dari proses mengandung sehinggalah melahirkan anak,menyusu sehingga tamat tempoh berakhirnya penyusuan selama 2 tahun dan mentarbiyah anak siang dan malam.
Sesungguhnya ketaatan kepada ibubapa walaupun berlainan agama adalah wajib diikuti kecuali pabila disuruh mengerjakan maksiat dan meninggalkan amal ibadat yang disyariatkan oleh Islam. Maka ketika itu haram mentaati perintah itu.

Lihatlah tingkatan terima kasih (syukur) yang ditonjolkan melalui wasiat ini. Terima kasih/kesyukuran kepada ibubapa datang selepas syukur kepada Allah s.w.t.. 'Logiklah' bahawa ucapan terima kasih/syukur ini pertama-tamanya buat Khaliq (pencipta). Selepas itu barulah diikuti pula buat makhluk yang didahului oleh ibu bapa yang tercinta.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 14 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Dan kami wasiatkan (perintahkan)kepada manusia supaya berbuat baik kepada ibu bapanya. Ibunya mengandungnya dengan menderita kelemahan di atas kelemahan dan menceraikan menyusu dalam 2 tahun. Bersyukurlah kepadaku dan kepada ibu bapamu! Kepadaku tempat kembali"

Permasalahan Keempat:
Luqman mendidik anaknya dengan mencegah anaknya dari mentaati ibubapa yang mendesak atau mengajak supaya mensyirikkan Allah s.w.t. dan segala macam perbuatan maksiat yang dilarang Allah s.w.t.
Akan tetapi sebagai anak,ibubapanya harus dilayani ,ditemani dan digauli dalam suasana yang penuh kebahagiaan dan kasih sayang. Anak juga harus melakukan kebaikan kepada mereka berdua seperti menjaga hal ehwal kewangan,menghormati dan berkhidmat kepada mereka.


Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 15 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Dan kalau keduanya memaksa engkau supaya mempersekutukan Aku, apa yang tiada engkau ketahui ,janganlah dituruti;dan pergaulilah keduanya di dunia ini dengan secara patut"

Permasalahan Kelima:
Luqman menasihati anaknya agar melalui jalan yang dilalui oleh mereka yang kembali bertaut kepada Allah s.w.t. dengan keimanan, ketaatan dan meredah jalan yang lurus (jalan yangAllah s.w.t. anugerahkan nikmat kepada mereka).Bukan jalan yang dilalui oleh mereka yang dimurkai Allah s.w.t. dan mereka yang sesat!
Mereka yang kembali kepada Allah s.w.t ini terdiri dari kalangan para Rasul, Nabi, orang benar dan sesiapa sahaja yang mengikuti mereka dengan keikhsanan dari kalangan orang mukmin.

Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 15 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Dan turutlah jalan orang yang kembali kepadaKu "

Permasalahan Keenam:
Luqman berpesan kepada anaknya supaya melakukan 'pemerhatian' tentang Hari Qiamat,urusan al- Qadha',pembalasan amalan serta melakukan pemerhatian terhadap segala arahan menyuruh dan meninggalkan sesuatu perkara di dalam menongkah arus dunia ini.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 15 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Nanti kamu akan kembali kepadaKu dan akan Aku beritakan kepada kamu apa yang telah kamu kerjakan"

Permasalahan Ketujuh:
Luqman menerangkan kepada anaknya akan 'syumul'nya Ilmu Allah melewati ilmu manusia. Allah s.w.t. bebas melakukan apa sahaja tanpa ada halangan. Allah s.w.t.mendatangkan sesuatu yang diinginkanNya dari segenap tempat yang tak mampu dibuat oleh makhluk.
Sesuatu kebaikan,kejahatan,kezaliman dan kesalahan yang diumpamakan seperti berat biji sawi walaupun tersembunyi jauh di dalam batu atau jauh berada di tempat yang tinggi seperti langit atau jauh berada di sedalam-dalam tempat seperti di dasar bumi akan didatangkan oleh Allah s.w.t. jua pada Hari Qiamat untuk dihisab / dihitung dan diberi ganjaran dosa atau pahala.

Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 16 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"(Kata Luqman): Hai anakku! Sesungguhnya jika ada (amal engkau) seberat biji sawi dan ada (tesembunyi) dalam batu,di langit atau di bumi ,itu akan dikemukakan olehAllah dan Allah itu Halus (mengerti hal-hal yang halus) dan Cukup Tahu"

Permasalahan Kelapan:
Luqman menyuruh anaknya agar menunaikan solat/sembahyang kerana solat merupakan fardhu yang difardhukanNya melalui utusanNya di bumi( dari kalangan Nabi dan Rasul).
Selepas manusia ditegah dari syirik dan ditakutkan dengaan Ilmu Allah dan QudratNya yang tak dapat ditandingi oleh sesiapa,datanglah arahan supaya beramal dengan amalan-amalan yang serasi dengan prinsip-prinsip Tauhid iaitu antaranya solat / bersembahyang. Solat adalah tiang agama. Dalil keimanan dan yakinnya hamba terhadap Ilahi. Jalan mendekatkan diri kepadaNya dan membantu mencegah kemungkaran, kekejian dan mensucikan diri.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 17 surah Luqman yang bermaksud: "Hai anakku! Dirikanlah solat/sembahyang "

Permasalahan Kesembilan:
Luqman menyuruh anaknya berbuat yang ma'ruf / kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran. Ini menunjukkan kepada kita bahawa arahan supaya menyuruh berbuat kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran dari 'tugasan' yang terkandung di dalam seruan Ilahi kepada Agama Islam semenjak dahulu lagi…Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 17 surah Luqman yang bermaksud: "Suruhlah mengerjakan yang baik,cegahlah perbuatan yang buruk"

Permasalahan Kesepuluh:
Luqman menasihatkan anaknya agar bersabar di atas segala perkara yang dibenci yang menimpa diri samada musibah itu datang dari Ilahi menguji diri,harta,suamiisteri dan anak-anak. Atau musibah ini berpunca dari bertembungnya dengan masyarakat yang membenci pendakwah (pendakwah bersifat pembawa hidayat,pemberi ingatan ,pembaik pulih dan pelindung) apabila menyeru ke arah kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran dan apabila pendakwah mengajak manusia kepada Agama Allah iaitu Islam serta lain-lain bidang atau cabang-cabang kebaikan.
Dimulakan wasiat dengan arahan solat / bersembahyang dan ditamat dengan arahan supaya bersabar. Mengapa? Kerana solat tiang agama dan sabar merupakan asas kekalnya ketaatan sepanjang masa.
Secara jelas dapat difahami ,bahawa sabar menahan musibah ini tergolong di dalam 'perkara yang berhajat kepada kehendak yang kuat dari tahap keazaman'. Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 17 surah Luqman yang bermaksud: "Dan berhati teguhlah menghadapi apa yang menimpa engkau;sesungguhnya (sikap) yang demikian itu masuk perintah yang sungguh-sungguh"

Permasalahan Kesebelas:
Luqman menasihati anaknya agar jangan takabbur dengan apa-apa pergerakan sekalipun yang menunjukkan kesombongaan dan ketinggian diri di depan manusia.
Luqman berpesan agar jangan memaling muka apabila bercakap dengan manusia kerna ia menunjukkan sifat takabbur dan menghina(merendah-rendahkan seseorang). Jangan takabbur dan merendah-rendahkan seseorang. Jangan memaling muka,membantah atau membangkang tanpa usul periksa. Akan tetapi sentiasalah tawadhuk(merendahkan diri) ,berlembut,manis bicara,senang diajak berbicara,seronok diajak berbicara,riak muka yang gembira,seronok ,ramah dan menjadi pendengar yang baik.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 18 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Janganlah engkau memalingkan muka engkau dari manusia kerana kesombongan"

Permasalahan Kedua Belas:
Luqman nasihati anaknya agar tidak berjalan di atas muka bumi ini dengan menampakkan keseronokan yang amat sangat hinggalah akhirnya keseronokan ini melebihi had di dalam pergerakannya ,membezakan kelakuannya dengan manusia lain kerana ia mengandungi ciri-ciri berlebih-lebihan atau jauh dari kesederhanaan .Dengan ciri ini orang yang gembira ini akan menjadi takabbur dan sombong yang melebihi had syara'.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 18 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Dan janganlah berjalan di bumi dengan angkuh!Sesungguhnya Allah tidak mencintai sekalian orang yang sombong dan membanggakan diri"

Permasalahan Ketiga Belas:
Luqman menasihati anaknya agar bersederhana dan sekata ketika berjalan. Tidak terlalu perlahan hingga menampakkan kemalasan, kelambatan yang amat sangat sehingga menampakkan diri lemah konon-kononnya ingin dikatakaan 'zuhud'. Tidak terlalu laju sehingga menonjolkan sikap berlebih-lebihan serta tidak peduli kepada suasana sekeliling.Oleh itu sikap sederhana dan sekata di antara lambat dan laju merupakan tanda / lambang seseorang itu tenang,beraqal dan diri yang cergas dan sihat.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 19 surah Luqman yang bermaksud:
"Dan besederhanalah dalam berjalan"

Permasalahan Keempat Belas:(terakhir)
Luqman menasihati anaknya agar merendahkan suara dan mencukupi suaranya didengari mengikut hajat atau keperluan pendengar. Inilah antara adab bersuara dan bercakap untuk keperluan.Diterangkan dalam wasiat ini ,bahawa mengangkat suara tanpa hajat/keperluan merupakan perkara yang dikutuk ,dikecam ,tidak disukai dan buruk. Contoh yang akan diberikan dalam ayat berikut ini bahawa seburuk-buruk suara adalah suara himar / keldai kerana suara himar / keldai awalnya suara mengeluh dan akhirnya suara menguak /melalak.
Inilah yang diterangkan melalui ayat 19 surah Luqman yang bermaksud: "Dan lembutkan lah suara engkau! Sesungguhnya suara yang amat buruk ialah suara himar"

Defining Allah to The Non-Muslims



The best definition that I can give of Allah (SWT) of God Almighty from the holy Qur’an is Surah Ikhlaas, Ch. No. 112, which says …Arabic… ‘Allah the absolute and eternal’, meaning, he is absolute, he is eternal. He has no beginning, he has no end, he is the one who helps other people but does not require help…Arabic… ‘Allah, the absolute and eternal’…Arabic… ‘He begets not nor is he begotten’, he has no father and mother. He has got no children, no begotten children…Arabic… ‘And there is nothing unto him like in this world’. There is nothing comparable to him in this world. The moment you can compare Allah (SWT) to anyone, he is not Allah (SWT) …Arabic… this is a four line definition of Allah (SWT). If anyone who you claim to be God Almighty, who you claim to be Allah (SWT) fits in this four line definition, we Muslims, we have got no objection to accept him as God Almighty. To accept him as Allah (SWT) what… which are your candidates, bring your candidates one by one. Some may say, that Bhagwaan Rajneesh Osho, he is God Almighty. Let us put him to test. The first criteria is…Arabic… ‘Say he is Allah one and only’, Rajneesh – we have several people like Rajneesh. We have plenty of them in our country, but still a follower of Rajneesh will say no, Rajneesh is unique, he is the only one. Okay give him a chance, okay let him pass the first test. No problem.

The second test is…Arabic… ‘Allah the absolute and eternal’. He does not require any help. He is the person who helps other people. Rajneesh we know very well, he was suffering from ‘Asthma’ from ‘Diabetes’. He could not cure his own disease, what will he cure your disease and my disease. When he went to America, he was imprisoned by the American government, imagine God being imprisoned. He could not free himself, how will he free you and me when we are in trouble and then he gives a statement that they gave me poison, slow poisoning. Imagine God can be poisoned? Put him to test, the Archbishop of Greece said that if you do not throw this godman Rajneesh out we will destroy his houses and the houses of his disciples and the president had to throw him out of Greece. Is he absolute and eternal?

The third test…Arabic… ‘He begets not nor is he begotten’, I do not know how many children’s he had but I do know that he had a father and a mother. He was born on the 11th of December 1931 in Jabalpur and he died on the 19th of January 1990. But when you go to his center in Pune, there it is mentioned ‘Bhagwaan Rajneesh – never born, never died, but visited the earth from the 11th of December 1931 to 19th January 1990’. They did not mention that he was not allowed to enter 21 countries of the world. He was not given the visa. He tried to enter he could not enter 21 countries. Imagine God is visiting the world, God is visiting the world, he cannot visit 21 countries. Is this the God you believe in? And the last test…Arabic… ‘And there is nothing, there is nothing like him in this world, there is nothing. There is nothing comparable, the moment you can think what God is, you can draw his figure he is not God. We know very well that Rajneesh, he had long hair, he had a big flowing beard which was white in color, he wore a robe, the moment you can think you can draw a picture of God, he is not God…Arabic… If you say that God Almighty suppose is a thousand times as strong as Arnold Schwarzenneger, do you know Arnold Schwarzenneger? He was crowned Mr. Universe – the strongest man in the world. If you say that God Almighty is a thousand times as strong as Arnold Schwarzenneger or Dara Singh or may be King Kong, he is not God. The moment you can compare him with anyone whether a thousand times. whether a million times, whether ten million times.

The moment you compare him with anything, he is not God…Arabic… ‘There is nothing unto him like in this world', I leave it upto the distinguished audience, the intellectual audience to decide for themselves that whichever God they are worshipping, let them put their God to test. To this 4 test of the Qur’an, if the God you are worshipping, if they pass these 4 test, we Muslims, we have got no objection in accepting him as God Almighty.
